The Dutch in Orange County Group is a group for all Dutch people (and their families of course) in Orange County.
I started this group because there is a group in San Diego, and there are several groups in Los Angeles that organize Dutch-themed events, but for many of us it may be too much to have to drive to LA or SD every time.
Although some events may be outside of Orange County, the goal of the group is to keep all activities within, or just outside Orange County borders. Activities could range from simply going out to a cafe or coffee bar for a chat, to visits to already organized events, concerts, exhibitions, arts, or culture with a Dutch Touch, or simply a "gezellig" coffee night at someones home.
Me and Julia are always open for suggestions, and if you would like to organize something or host an event and invite people from the Dutch in Orange County group, just drop us a line!
Planned events for the future include:
- Christmas "borrel"
- Koninginnedag in Orange County
- Voetbalparty - the Euro 2008 is coming up!
- Holland Festival in Long Beach
Our goal is to at least organize 1 event a month. We hope people from South and North country will help out hosting events as well so we can get better OC coverage.
